The Philosophy of Chinese Medicine
This is a wholistic approach which treats the root cause of the sickness or disease and not merely its symptoms thereby providing a more effective long term 'cure' to a patient's ailment. Treatment usually involves the dispensation of an assortment of chinese herbs, acupuncture or acupressure.

Chinese Medicine which dates back to as early as 3000 B.C. is a culmination of the knowledge and observations of Nature and man's relationship to nature. It is believed that a healthy person is one who maintains a natural balance of two opposing forces within his body, often referred to as the yin and yang. When a person falls sick or suffers a disease then the equilibrium is upset and it is the job of the chinese doctor to regain this crucial balance in order to bring him or her back to health.
